Today I want to talk to you about how to detoxify your body in a quick and easy way that will enhance your lymphatic flow, reduce cellulite around the arms, abdomen, legs and butt and will also enhance your energy and improve your blood flow and circulation. As a lymphatic therapist I work with a lot of different individuals that have common complaints such as swelling, feeling bloated, puffy, red skin, inflammatory issues. I work with cancer patients that have had lymph node removal surgeries that have impaired the lymphatic system and they feel overall like they are toxic.

There’s a few things you can do to detoxify the lymphatic system:

Ginger

Fresh ginger in your tea, make ginger water, detox drinks such as one with grapefruit, ginger and lemon or lime. These drinks are wonderful for enhancing the lymphatic flow. Ginger actually decreases mucus production and is an anti inflammatory for the whole body. But more importantly, ginger helps detoxify our tissues and cells within our organs and our interstitial space where the lymphatic system works and moves the lymph flow.

My clients that have complaints of swollen legs and swollen limbs will notice a reduction of about one and a half to three and a half pounds of fluid moving and exiting the body through the kidneys and the bladder. You’ll have an enhanced urination that greatly moves that stuff out of the body. Over several weeks it can be significant.

Dry Skin Brushing

Another way you can detoxify your body is dry skin brushing. Dry skin brushing is really great for enhancing the lymphatic flow. It’s a way to motivate the superficial lymphatic system that sits underneath the arms, underneath the armpits, all through the abdomen, the legs and the back of the body. Dry brushing is a way to pump fluid that might be stagnating. For people who have cardiovascular deficiencies or diabetics that experience nerve related pain, this is wonderful for you. It’s also great for anybody who has cellulite.

Herbs

Another thing I am going to recommend is for you to start looking at enhancing your liver process. Dandelion and milk thistle teas and tinctures are a really good way to detoxify your body. They help flush out toxic matter that the lymphatic system can then move out. We want to prepare all of your detox organs and the glands that are functioning to move toxic matter out of your body.

Movement

The final tip I have for assisting detoxification and lymphatic flow is doing jumping jacks, jump rope or jumping on a rebounder. A rebounder is like a mini trampoline and when you use a rebounder it moves the lymphatic system in a very forced way where the valves open up and the fluid moves up and around and out of the body. This is really one of the best ways to detox. I know a lot of people do green juicing and take herbs but what you ultimately first want to do is open up your lymphatic system, the core immune boosting and detoxification process in our body. Without that being open. We get cases of people being over toxic and sometimes septic in really severe cases. If you are dealing with any type of health issue you want to first detox your lymphatics, move that fluid out of the body, get those proteins bonds broken up and move it out of your body.
